So yesterday was kind of hectec for me. Sorry I am not upating until now. Yesterday morning Hollian was taken off the vent and finally able to talk although her throat is very soar. They took her cathider out and her central line out. She is doing really, really, really good. Just so I don't get any info wrong from this morning update here is a copy of Rickman's Facebook post:
" They took out the central line and all she has is a small iv in for the heparin. she is starting the transition to coumadin for the clot and will be on it for 6 months or so. she is doing well and back to eating small portions of solid foods. she should be transferred out of icu soon to cardiac for monitoring. she's doing really good."
I am so relieved thats she is doing great and hopefully she will be home soon :-)
Thank you everyone for all the prayers through out the week, they were much needed and greatly appreciated.

A GOOD nigth update for Hollian
Where do I even begin? The CT came back and Holl has no blood clots other then the one in her leg that they are already treating. The ECG came back and said that Hollians heart is at 50 percent and 60 percent is the norm. I was totally confused, I thought they meant that the heart was only working at 50 percent but it means that the heart is only pushing 50% of the blood. They are saying that 60% is normalso they are happy with the 50% and if the DOCTORS are HAPPY with it then so am I. Hollians fever is gone, thats another good thing. Tomorrow the plan is to take Hollian completely off the vent in the morning, so lets hope the fluid is out of the lungs. I sure hope everything goes to plan which im sure it will because I can't wait to talk to my BFF again, I have been so lost without talking or seeing Hollian. So things are going REALLY GOOD. I know I say this every time but PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE continue to pray because even though everything is going good and Holl is getting better she still has a long road ahead of her.
P.S. I forgot to mention, the lasix are working and the swelling is almost completely gone :) Hollians feet are looking like they are back to normal, Brandon says.

Update
Well Hollian was doing great last night, got to say goodnight to Brandon and get a good night sleep which in return Brandon was able to sleep well also knowing his wife was doing great. This morning the decision was made to keep the breathing tubes in because her lungs backed up with more fluid. The doctors just did another ECG because her heart is not beating hard enough on one side and she still has a fever. They are starting a new medication to make her heart pump stronger to get the fluids moving. Poor Hollian, it seems like just when things are starting to get better it takes a step back. I believe that Hollian is to strong to not fight and she will get better sooner then we all think. Also, yesterday sometime the doctors found a blood clot in her right leg so blood thinners were given to get rid of it and she was taken into a CT to see if she had any clots in her lungs. I haven't heard back on that but I am thinking that there are no clots in her lungs because the CT was done yesterday evening and they haven't said yay or nay. That is all for right now I will keep you all posted as I am...
Please keep the prayers coming, they really do help.

Update on The Rickman Family
I have just recieved the news that Hollians Heart pressure test came back with great numbers and great results. Her heart is pumping at the norm and looks good. Hollian still has fluid in her lungs but if all goes well after her ECG she will be coming off the vent sometime tomorrow. Hollian has been heavily sedated with the use of the drugs versed and fentnyl. Brandon said she woke up and asked for a pen and paper and asked some questions such as, " Where she was, what happened and how are the girls."
Here is what Brandon posted on Facebook:
"So we spent some time with hollian. she still is on the ventilator. maybe taken off tomorrow morning. her pressure test for her heart showed good numbers. she was awake when we talked to her and she wanted a pen and paper and asked us a few questions. its heart wrenching wanting to just hear hear talk. through everything she is doing really well consider what it was 24 hours ago. I LOVE YOU HOLLIAN!!!"
It is amazing to know how powerful our Heavenly Father is. Brandon said that he is happy that he made Hollian go back to the doctors when he did because if she was at home when this happened last night we would have lost her.
We were thinking this was the hospitals fault but we were told that the this was all caused by her pregnancy, pregnancy induced Heart Failure. The doctors said that Hollian shouldn't have any more babies because the next time will kill her.
I love that I got the chance to take care of my nieces and I will do it for as long as they need me too but I am so happy that they will soon get to see their mommy again.

Prayers, Prayers, Prayers for the Rickman Family
As you all know, Brandon and Hollian welcomed a new baby girl into the family on October 21st. Hollian and the baby (Kristina) came home from the hospital on October 23rd and on the 25th Brandon took her back to the doctors for her severe swelling and breathing problems. During Hollians first hospital stay she was overloaded with IV fluid and very little urine output which also lead to Pulmonary Adema. Hollian has been flown to another hospital with the room and resources that she needs, before she went to a different hospital she stopped breathing and coded. Hollian has gone into heart failure and they are saying that she may need a new heart. Brandons NCO rushed him to this new hospital and left all 3 girls in my custody so I know have 6 kids, 3 boys and 3 girls in the ages of 8,7,5,5,2,6 days old. Today I was informed that Hollian's vitals were able to stay up in normal range. her bp came up and her pulse came down. Also, she started running a fever and are trying to find the cause of it. Later this afternoon the doctors are going to do another echocardiogram and pressure test on her lungs and heart to determine if she needs to be put back on the lasixs. Hollian was put on the ventilator last night and has been heavily sedated so she shouldn't be in any discomfort right now. I will keep you all posted as I am but for now, prayers would be greatly appreciated.
